Ranchi, September 7 (Daily Kiran) : The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is set to initiate a four-day statewide protest in Jharkhand from September 8 to raise concerns over irregularities in various recruitment exams, including the JPSC and JSSC-CGL. The party is demanding the withdrawal of cases filed against students and the arrest of those responsible for the alleged discrepancies.
From September 8 to 11, BJP members will stage demonstrations at district headquarters across 24 districts, surrounding the offices of district commissioners and police superintendents.
Amar Kumar Bauri, the party’s state general secretary, announced that all preparations for the protest have been finalized. He emphasized the BJP’s call for a peaceful resolution, including the withdrawal of cases against protesting students, an investigation by the CBI into the alleged irregularities, and the apprehension of those at fault.
Under the direction of state president Aditya Sahu, senior party leaders have been assigned to oversee the protests in various districts. Sahu himself will lead the movement in Ranchi on September 8, in Seraikela on September 9, and in Khunti on September 11.
Opposition leader Babulal Marandi will be present in Dumka on September 8, Pakur on September 9, Sahibganj on September 10, and Godda on September 11. Former Chief Minister Raghubar Das will participate in Hazaribagh on September 8, Dhanbad on September 10, and Lohardaga on September 11. Meanwhile, former Chief Minister Madhu Koda will join the protests in Jamshedpur on September 8, Bokaro on September 9, and Ramgarh on September 11.
Former MP Sameer Uraon will lead efforts in Simdega, Gumla, Chaibasa, and Giridih, while former state presidents Ravindra Rai and Deepak Prakash will oversee protests in Chatra, Jamtara, Palamu, and Latehar, respectively.
Central Minister of State for Defence Sanjay Seth will participate in the event in Garhwa on September 8, Chief Whip Naveen Jaiswal will be in Koderma on September 9, and former minister Neera Yadav will attend the program in Deoghar on September 11.
Bauri stated that district coordinators have been appointed for the movement. He noted that the state government had previously received an ultimatum to withdraw cases against students, but no positive action was taken, prompting the decision for a statewide protest.
