New Delhi, June 4: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has sharply reacted to Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s recent statement in the Lok Sabha. Gandhi claimed that Prime Minister Narendra Modi could impose an emergency-like situation in the country and suggested that Modi would not remain in power for more than a year.
In response to Gandhi’s remarks, BJP leaders accused him of spreading confusion about democratic institutions and making such statements out of political despair.
Haryana Minister Anil Vij commented on Gandhi’s statement, stating that the public no longer takes his words seriously. During a media interaction, Vij noted that Gandhi’s statements lack consistency and often vary over time. He attributed Gandhi’s controversial remarks to his political despair following repeated electoral defeats.
Vij further asserted that responding to Gandhi’s statements has become unnecessary, as the public is already evaluating his claims and accusations. He alleged that the Congress leader has not recovered from his electoral losses, leading to a pattern of baseless and controversial statements.
BJP National Spokesperson Pradeep Bhandari also expressed strong criticism of Gandhi’s comments. He accused Gandhi of failing to gain power through democratic means and attempting to create an atmosphere of instability and confusion in the country. Bhandari stated, “Rahul is a dangerous man. He is a chaotic individual. He realizes that he cannot come to power democratically, and wherever he goes, the youth of the country visibly support Prime Minister Modi.”
He further claimed that Gandhi, being a dynast, cannot stay away from power, which is why he has started speaking against India’s democracy. Allegedly under the influence of George Soros, Gandhi aims to create chaos and democratic deficits within India. Despite Gandhi’s intentions, Bhandari emphasized that the youth and common people of India stand against his schemes.
Bhandari concluded by stating that it has become evident that after losing 99 elections, Gandhi has not learned that the public perceives him as an anti-national leader. His repeated statements only reinforce this image.
