The two-day national convention of BJP held in New Delhi deliberated on the party’s strategy for upcoming Lok Sabha polls, discussed measures to counter opposition party’s propaganda.
Besides Prime Minister Narendra Modi and party chief Amit Shah, Cabinet Ministers, BJP Chief Ministers, MPs and senior party leaders were also among those who attended the convention.
Slamming opposition, BJP President Amit Shah reiterated his party’s commitment to eradicate influence of dynasty, caste and and appeasement from the country’s politics.
Union Minister and senior BJP leader Nitin Gadkari said good governance, development and accountability have been the key features of govt during last four and half years.
Launching scathing attack on opposition, Arun Jaitley termed their alliance as coalition of rivals. He added that such an alliance is characterized by policies being paralysed and a clash of ambitions of individual leaders.
Hailing the leadership of Prime MInister Narendra Modi, Union Defence Minister and senior BJP leader Nirmala Sitharaman said that country has remained safe last four and half year. Besides, the last four and half year of govt was marked by corruption-free governance.
The national convention was also addressed by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and other leaders. The party also passed economic and political resolutions.
As per the political resolution, the party said the 2019 General elections will be a fight between honesty and dishonesty and time has come for the country to decide whether it wants a strong or a weak government.
