UDAIPUR : The ACB Udaipur team on Wednesday trapped two brokers of a police head constable while accepting a bribe of Rs 20,000.
The ACB team caught the brokers of head constable Jai Singh, posted at Kotwali police station in Dungarpur, while taking a bribe from the complainant in lieu of not taking any action against the complainant in a case related to motorcycle theft.
The ACB team caught the brokers Raju Dindor and Rahul with a bribe amount of Rs 15,000 and Rs 5,000 respectively.
The accused had demanded a bribe of Rs 1,20,000 from the complainant out of which he had taken Rs 40,000. The accused were pressurising the complainant by demanding more money.
The main accused Jai Singh is currently out of town and will be interrogated after he returns, said the ACB. In the meantime the ACB team has registered a case and detained the two brokers for further interrogation.
