New Delhi, December 4: Ahead of Russian President Vladimir Putin’s visit to India, Lok Sabha Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi sparked a political debate by claiming that opposition leaders are not being allowed to meet foreign delegations. However, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MPs dismissed Rahul Gandhi‘s claim as mere politics, with BJP MP Kangana Ranaut even questioning the Congress leader’s patriotism.

Commenting on Lok Sabha Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi, BJP MP Kangana Ranaut said, “If Rahul Gandhi is comparing himself to Atal Bihari Vajpayee, then my advice to him is that he should join BJP, only then can he become like him.”

Raising questions, Kangana Ranaut said, “There is a question mark on his (Rahul Gandhi’s) feelings towards the country. International conspiracies are happening against India, whether it is to create riots in the country or conspiracies to break it into ‘pieces’, this raises questions.”

On not allowing opposition leaders to meet foreign delegations, the BJP MP said, “Government has its own decisions.”

Meanwhile, BJP MP Brij Lal said that the government does everything according to protocol. Under the same protocol, Russian President Putin is coming to India. Therefore, work will be done according to protocol only. Rahul Gandhi is only doing politics in this.

BJP MP Bhim Singh also reacted and said that if Rahul Gandhi had spoken with some precedent, the matter would have been taken seriously. There is no such precedent in the past. Leaders coming from abroad have their own schedule. Protocol is followed accordingly.

Bhim Singh accused that Rahul Gandhi only creates ruckus. Where he should speak, he doesn’t speak there.
