New Delhi, August 11: BJP MP Janardan Mishra has launched a scathing attack on the JMM government and the Samajwadi Party (SP) regarding the police action against JPPSC-JSSC candidates in Ranchi. He accused the JMM of adopting a dictatorial approach and suggested that the government fears a CBI investigation due to potential cover-ups in the CID inquiry.
Mishra questioned the SP’s commitment to supporting students, asking why they have not raised this issue in the Lok Sabha with banners and flags. “The SP should have brought this matter to the Lok Sabha and protested against it. If they are against the JMM government and in favor of the students, they should have opposed it in the same manner as they do with other issues,” he stated.
Regarding the police action against JPPSC and JSSC candidates, he expressed concern over the findings emerging from the CID investigation, which allegedly involve close associates of the Chief Minister. “If there are cover-ups in the CID investigation, the state government is understandably afraid of a CBI inquiry. They believe that a CBI investigation would clarify everything,” he added.
Mishra also questioned the agenda of Abhijit Dipke and the forces behind him, stating, “Everyone knows what’s happening. If Dipke cannot go to Ranchi, does that mean no one from the CJP can? They are merely trying to save face. If they truly wanted to support, they would have gone to Jharkhand.”
He further criticized opposition party members for their reluctance to engage in meaningful discussions in the assembly. “They demand to come to the house, to discuss, and to make statements, but then they say they only have two questions and want yes or no answers. This has been the Congress party’s nature, constantly shifting their stance,” he remarked.
On the dress code at the ISKCON temple, he stated that it is a private arrangement made in accordance with their traditions.
