Mumbai, August 9: BJP MLC Prasad Lad addressed various issues on Friday, emphasizing the dedication of Manoj Jarange Patil. In an interview with a news agency, Lad described Jarange as a committed and activist leader. He noted that Jarange often raises demands that do not serve his personal interests, focusing instead on social welfare issues. Lad expressed that there might be some misunderstandings regarding certain topics at present. He believes that strengthening ties with Jarange could alleviate these concerns.
Lad also commented on the discontent of OBC leader Lakshman Hake. He stated that Hake had no reason to be upset. Many leaders from Hake’s OBC community are in contact with him. Lad clarified that they have never suggested reallocating any benefits from the OBC community to leaders of the Maratha community, nor vice versa. He emphasized their commitment to avoiding conflicts and prioritizing development.
He criticized Hake’s recent statements as influenced by ongoing state activities, which he deemed unacceptable. Lad recalled that Hake had previously approached Eknath Shinde for election tickets, suggesting that Hake needs to understand that leadership should focus on state development.
Additionally, Lad made significant claims regarding the CJP movement in Delhi, asserting that no NEET students participated. He mentioned that current events are widely shared on social media, and the slogans raised were not related to student issues. He challenged Rahul Gandhi to address student concerns in Jharkhand, where his party is in power.
Lad also responded to Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge’s statements, acknowledging Kharge as a prominent leader. He referenced Mahatma Gandhi’s recognition of the RSS’s role in the freedom movement, suggesting that Kharge should study the history of the RSS for better understanding.
He criticized Rahul Gandhi for spending more time abroad than in India, questioning his awareness of fuel prices and ethanol usage in other countries. Lad offered to take Gandhi abroad to educate him on these issues.
Lastly, he commented on Sharad Pawar, stating that the relationship between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Pawar has been positive. He noted Pawar’s extensive experience in public life and asserted that it is his right to meet with the Prime Minister, making it inappropriate for others to comment on such meetings.
Lad also addressed the FCRA, mentioning that Supriya Sule has clarified their objections on certain points, and they plan to meet with the Prime Minister regarding these concerns.
