Lucknow, October 12 (Daily Kiran) : Political tensions have escalated in Uttar Pradesh following Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath‘s remarks labeling Congress as a symbol of chaos in the country. In response, BJP legislator Rajesh Chaudhary has come out in strong support of the Chief Minister, launching a direct attack on Congress.
Chaudhary stated, “Congress has always undermined democracy and has maintained a stranglehold on it through a single family.” He criticized the party’s inability to adapt after suffering defeats in three consecutive Lok Sabha elections, suggesting that their current role in opposition is fraught with frustration.
He further remarked, “Congress is accustomed to enjoying power. Now, as they face defeat, they are unable to adjust. They see no faults in the government and are instead engaging in conflicts with constitutional institutions. They point fingers at the Supreme Court and the Election Commission.”
Chaudhary echoed Adityanath’s assertion that where Congress exists, corruption follows. He argued that the current NDA government operates transparently, contrasting it with the past when Congress allegedly mismanaged funds. “Today, benefits reach beneficiaries directly through schemes like Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT),” he noted.
The BJP legislator also reacted sharply to recent internal strife within the UP Congress, highlighting the irony of a party that claims to advocate for women’s rights while facing allegations of misconduct against women within its ranks.
Regarding Rahul Gandhi’s recent protests and his attempts to challenge the government on issues of alleged vote theft, Chaudhary criticized him for being overwhelmed by his failures. He stated, “Rahul Gandhi is confused about his political role. The public has given him the responsibility of opposition, which he should fulfill for five years before facing elections.”
Chaudhary issued a challenge to Gandhi, inviting him to contest in Uttar Pradesh independently, asserting that it would reveal the true measure of his political standing as the state prepares for the upcoming assembly elections in 2027 and the Lok Sabha elections in 2029.
