Ahmedabad, September 22 (Daily Kiran) : Rohan Gupta, the national secretary of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), recently addressed various issues, including comments made by Imran Masood. He raised concerns about the potential alliance between Congress and the Samajwadi Party in Uttar Pradesh.
In response to Masood’s recent statements, Gupta highlighted past instances where regional parties suffered after aligning with Congress. He referenced Prime Minister Modi‘s description of Congress as a “bhaysmasur,” suggesting that any party that partners with Congress ultimately faces political fallout.
Gupta emphasized that Congress often makes grand claims that are disconnected from ground realities in Uttar Pradesh and Bihar. He cautioned Congress against using a “bullying language” in alliances, as it sends the wrong message to the public. He noted that the people of Uttar Pradesh have witnessed the internal rifts among opposition parties and are unlikely to trust such political arrangements. He described the current situation as merely a “trailer,” insisting that the complete picture remains to be seen. According to him, the public continues to support the BJP based on the government’s performance.
Touching on a controversy involving Prime Minister Modi’s mimicry by students in Madhya Pradesh, Gupta criticized Congress for its repeated negative commentary against the Prime Minister. He pointed out that despite electoral defeats, Congress has failed to adapt its political style. He questioned Congress’s claims regarding student issues, asserting that the party must address public concerns rather than deflect them.
Gupta referred to Kota, where students and the public responded to Congress in elections, yet the party has not improved its political approach. He dismissed Congress’s claims regarding student support as “lies,” “deception,” and “propaganda,” asserting that genuine backing lies with the BJP.
Regarding the recent municipal election results in Rajasthan, Gupta expressed gratitude to the electorate. He reiterated a slogan he had promoted: “Congress means conflict, and BJP means brotherhood,” which he believes was reflected in the election outcomes. He accused Congress leaders of making ambitious claims during the campaign while failing to adequately address local issues.
Gupta asserted that the people of Rajasthan recognized the work done by the Bhajanlal government and accepted its promise of fulfilling 78 percent of its commitments. As a dedicated BJP worker, he assured that efforts to honor promises made to the public would continue.
In a lighter note, Gupta celebrated India’s first gold medal at the 2026 Asian Games, praising the Indian women’s cricket team’s victory over Sri Lanka by 19 runs. He congratulated all Indian athletes and expressed optimism about winning more medals. He encouraged players to continue striving for excellence and to bring glory to India, backed by the prayers and best wishes of 1.4 billion citizens.
