BJP Lawmaker Criticizes Rahul Gandhis Visit to Kota Ahead of NEET Exam

Jaipur, June 17: BJP legislator Gopal Sharma has raised concerns over Congress leader Rahul Gandhi‘s upcoming visit to Kota, Rajasthan, calling it unfortunate.

In a press interaction on Wednesday, Sharma questioned Gandhi’s timing, noting that the NEET exam is scheduled for June 21. “What message does Rahul Gandhi intend to convey by visiting Kota at this time?” he asked. He acknowledged that as an opposition party, Congress has the right to raise issues, a principle even Mahatma Gandhi supported. However, he emphasized the importance of choosing the right time and place for such actions.

Sharma expressed that Gandhi’s visit seems politically motivated, occurring just days before a significant exam in which millions of students will participate. He suggested that Gandhi is attempting to create a political platform for himself in Kota.

The BJP lawmaker also criticized Gandhi’s educational background, stating that he lacks genuine educational experience. He pointed out that Gandhi studied during tumultuous times, including the assassination of his grandmother, Indira Gandhi, and the tragic death of his uncle. According to Sharma, this has left Gandhi unaware of the seriousness of education. He accused Congress of exploiting students for political gain, which he deemed entirely wrong.

Sharma described the incidents of NEET paper leaks as unfortunate and stated that suicide is a crime that should not be legally recognized. He stressed that the youth of the country need assurance regarding employment opportunities, asserting that the Modi government is working in this direction.

He cautioned against sending the wrong message to students, claiming that some individuals are trying to mislead the youth, which should not be tolerated. Additionally, he spoke about the Gayatri Mantra, stating it symbolizes Indian culture and originated in Pushkar. He believes it can inspire students, recalling that it was recited during his time, a practice that began during Congress’s rule.
