New Delhi, June 17: The leader of the opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, has come under fire from BJP national spokesperson Sudhanshu Trivedi regarding a proposed student protest in Kota. Trivedi accused Gandhi of sowing confusion and anxiety among students just days before the NEET exam.
Speaking to the media at the BJP headquarters, Sudhanshu Trivedi stated, “The NEET exam is just three days away. While students are focused on their preparations, the government is diligently ensuring a smooth process. In contrast, the Congress party and Rahul Gandhi appear to be using cunning tactics. I want to ask, why create fear, stress, and agitation among students during the crucial last 72 hours when they should be preparing calmly? There will be plenty of opportunities for politics later. Why choose this moment?”
Trivedi emphasized that this is a critical time for students to concentrate on their exams. He questioned the motives behind distracting students and the methods being employed to rally them for the protest.
He further remarked, “We acknowledge that you (Rahul Gandhi) have faced failures in student life, in the job you held, and in leading a company. Do not project your feelings of envy onto students who are diligently preparing for their success.”
The BJP spokesperson urged Congress to answer three key questions. He asked, “Given that the decision to retake the exam has been made and the judiciary is involved, what exactly are you demanding now? Question two: Why did you choose Rajasthan? During your government, 19 exam papers were leaked, yet no action was taken. Our government has acted against 400 individuals in paper leak cases, and there have been no leaks in Rajasthan in the last two and a half years. Why target Kota, where many students are preparing for exams?”
“Question three: Reports suggest that guest house and PG owners in Kota are being pressured and threatened to bring students to Rahul Gandhi’s rally. Why is this happening just 72 hours before the exam? This appears to be a calculated conspiracy by Congress, which can be termed a ‘toolkit mindset.'”
