New Delhi, May 31: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is set to hold a significant organizational meeting on June 1, inviting state presidents from across the country. The meeting will be chaired by the party’s national president, Nitin Naveen. Chhattisgarh BJP president Kiran Singh Dev spoke exclusively in Raipur about this upcoming event.
Kiran Singh Dev emphasized that this meeting is not extraordinary but part of the party’s regular organizational activities. Such meetings are periodically held to strengthen the organization and strategize for upcoming events.
He noted that the party is currently running a training campaign and preparing for several organizational programs. From June 5 to 23, important events are planned, including Sacrifice Day, programs related to Syama Prasad Mukherjee, Environment Day, and International Yoga Day. The meeting will focus on guidance and coordination for these activities.
He also praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 12 years in office, stating that Modi is the first Prime Minister to lead the country uninterrupted for this duration. According to him, India has made remarkable progress in various sectors during this time, including development, social schemes, and its global identity.
Kiran Singh Dev claimed that the benefits of Modi’s government schemes have reached villages, cities, and all sections of society. Today, India’s respect on the international stage has increased, and the status and identity of Indians living abroad have also strengthened. He described this as a matter of pride for both the BJP and the nation.
When asked about the Uniform Civil Code (UCC), he stated that the matter is under consideration by the central government and the respective states, and any decision will be made public soon.
He also criticized the opposition alliance, claiming that the INDIA coalition is struggling for its existence. He stated that there is neither a shared ideology nor a common minimum program among its members. He accused the coalition of coming together solely for the purpose of gaining power, lacking ideological unity.
Kiran Singh Dev pointed out that these parties often contest elections against each other in different states, criticizing one another, yet they appear united on a national platform. He labeled this as political opportunism.
Using West Bengal, Punjab, and Tamil Nadu as examples, he noted that these parties are often adversaries in their respective states but attempt to unite in national politics. He believes this alliance will not last long due to the absence of ideological similarity and policy clarity.
He further remarked that the opposition alliance is more focused on power ambitions than on politics for the nation’s benefit. He accused several parties of frequently collaborating for their political gain, which undermines their credibility among the public.
