Maharashtra Government Transfers 12 IAS Officers Ahead of Monsoon Session

Mumbai, June 17: The Maharashtra government has transferred 12 IAS officers in preparation for the state assembly’s monsoon session starting on June 22. This decision was made on Tuesday and includes several senior officials.

Vijay Singhal, a 1997 batch IAS officer, has been appointed as the Special Officer for the Dharavi Redevelopment Project in Mumbai. Prajakta Verma, from the 2001 batch, has been assigned as the Additional Municipal Commissioner of the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation.

P. Velarasu, a 2002 batch IAS officer, will transition from being the Chief Executive Officer of the Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation to the Secretary of the Forest, Revenue, and Forest Department.

Ashwini Joshi, from the 2006 batch, has been appointed as the Additional Metropolitan Commissioner of the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority, previously serving as the Additional Municipal Commissioner of BMC.

Deependra Singh Kushwaha, also from the 2006 batch, is now the Chief Executive Officer of the Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation. Ashwin Mudgal, from the 2007 batch, has been appointed as the Vice Chairman and Managing Director of CIDCO, Mumbai.

Kadambari Balkawade, a 2010 batch IAS officer, will move from her role as Commissioner of Family Welfare and Director of the National Health Mission to the Development Commissioner for Industries.

Sanjay Katkar, from the 2014 batch, has been appointed as the Commissioner of Family Welfare and Director of the National Health Mission, previously serving as the Managing Director of the Maharashtra Information Technology Corporation.

Zenith Chandra Donthula, a 2022 batch officer, will now serve as the Chief Executive Officer of the Gondia District Council. Anay Navandar, also from the 2022 batch, has been appointed as the Chief Executive Officer of the Akola District Council.

B. Saravanan, from the 2023 batch, has been transferred to the ITDP Kinwat project officer position, while Lagima Tiwari, also from the 2023 batch, will serve as the project officer for ITDP Taloda.
