Ayodhya, August 10: Avadhesh Prasad, a Member of Parliament from the Samajwadi Party, accused the BJP government on Saturday of diverting attention from critical issues such as farmers’ welfare, law and order, electricity, and inflation. He stated that the government is anxious about the increasing strength of the PDA (People’s Democratic Alliance).
Speaking to reporters, Prasad remarked, “The BJP government aims to distract the public from pressing issues like fertilizer for farmers, law and order, electricity, and inflation. Everyone knows the political standing of Keshav Prasad Maurya. The BJP is worried about the growing power of the PDA.”
Prasad also criticized the central government for its treatment of the youth. He emphasized, “Youth and students are our nation’s invaluable assets. The true wealth of a country is not gold, silver, or diamonds, but its youth, students, and citizens. Look at the oppression faced by the youth under the BJP government. Recently, millions of students and unarmed youth gathered at Jantar Mantar from all corners of the country, only to face police brutality. Thousands suffered broken limbs and head injuries. Our leader, Dimple Yadav, was also injured. We were present there, and even Rahul Gandhi and Akhilesh Yadav were arrested.”
He added, “There is a demand in Parliament for discussion on this issue. The opposition is repeatedly calling for the Home Minister to address the house, as there is no greater platform in a democracy. Unfortunately, the government seems unwilling to allow the house to function. Not a single day has passed without disruption.”
Referring to student protests in Jharkhand, Prasad stated, “Jharkhand is part of our country. Students do not belong to just one state; they have a glorious history. Whenever the students of this country have taken charge, governments have changed. The entire opposition stands with the students. The government does not wish to find a solution. The students of Jharkhand are facing injustice. We, our party, and our leaders stand with them and will fight their battle.”
On the independent audit report of the Ram Temple, Avadhesh Prasad made serious allegations. He said, “This is wrong. There has been so much corruption that it cannot even be counted, and the government is suppressing it. While the government may try to hide it, this is theft and looting of the offerings for the Ram Temple. Lord Ram will not forgive them.”
