Jaipur, September 7 (Daily Kiran) : BJP legislator Balmukund Acharya has confidently predicted a strong performance for the party in the upcoming municipal elections in Rajasthan. Speaking in Jaipur, he claimed that the BJP is expected to secure around 125 seats and will elect its mayor. Acharya urged voters to choose the BJP over independent or Congress candidates.
He emphasized the stability of the BJP government at both the central and state levels, led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma, respectively. Acharya stated that if the BJP wins control of the municipal corporation, it would mark the establishment of the “third government” for the party. He asserted that the election of BJP councilors, chairpersons, and mayors would accelerate development in local wards.
In his appeal, Acharya encouraged voters to support the BJP’s lotus symbol to strengthen the party’s position in the municipal corporation and enhance development efforts in their areas.
Addressing questions about the removal of mosques and madrasas, Acharya clarified that such actions should not be viewed solely as demolitions. He insisted that any construction on government or private land without permission, regardless of its designation as a temple, mosque, or madrasa, should be legally scrutinized. He highlighted that it is the administration’s duty to remove illegal constructions on government land.
Acharya accused certain groups of attempting to encroach on land under the guise of religious sites. He stressed the need for governments to continue taking action against such illegal occupations. Whether the land is public or private, construction without permission is unlawful. He called for strict enforcement of laws against unauthorized construction, linking the removal of illegal encroachments to the legitimacy of land use rather than religious identity. Acharya concluded that the process of removing illegal constructions should adhere to established regulations in all cases.
