Banka, August 9: On the auspicious occasion of the Shravan Mela, Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Nityanand Rai visited a service camp set up by the Bol Bam Seva Samiti at Tona Pathar, Kataria in Banka. Here, he actively participated in serving the devotees of Baba Baidyanath.
During his visit, Nityanand Rai interacted with the Kanwariyas, inquiring about their well-being. He also assessed the facilities being provided to the devotees and encouraged the volunteers involved in the service activities. He personally attended to dozens of Kanwariyas.
He stated that the Shravan Mela is not just a festival of faith and devotion but also a celebration of service, dedication, and community participation.
Demonstrating his commitment, Nityanand Rai highlighted that serving the millions of Shiva devotees arriving from various parts of the country is a virtuous act in itself. He emphasized that service is the true worship of Lord Shiva. The dedication shown by social organizations, NGOs, and local residents in assisting the Kanwariyas paints a vibrant picture of Bihar’s spirit of service and its enduring culture.
He noted that the volunteers of the Bol Bam Seva Samiti are tirelessly working to ensure the comfort and assistance of the devotees. Their contributions are commendable, especially in the face of heat, rain, and challenging journeys.
The Union Minister stressed the importance of both the faith of the devotees visiting Baba Baidyanath and their safety and comfort. He mentioned that the collaboration between the administration, social organizations, and local people is making the service campaign along the Kanwar Path even more effective.
In his prayers to Baba Baidyanath, he wished for happiness, peace, prosperity, and health for all devotees, while also hoping for continuous progress for the country and Bihar.
