
Mumbai, June 20: The Munger Police have achieved significant success in ‘Operation Muskaan.’ From January 25 to June 20, the police recovered a total of 106 lost and stolen mobile phones through technical research and information-based actions. The estimated value of these phones is around 4.2 million rupees.
Under the guidance of Superintendent of Police Syed Imran Masood, the district intelligence unit and various police teams collaborated on this operation. A special event was held at the SP office on Saturday, where many recovered mobile phones were returned to their rightful owners. Approximately 63 individuals attended the event to reclaim their devices, while the remaining phones will be distributed through the respective police stations.
The highest number of 35 phones were recovered from the Kotwali police station area. The joy on the faces of those receiving their phones was evident. Many expressed that they had lost hope of ever seeing their devices again, but the dedication of the Munger Police made it possible for them to recover their belongings.
One mobile owner stated, “We have received our mobile back. We sincerely thank the Munger Police and the Superintendent for this.”
Superintendent Syed Imran Masood spoke to reporters, saying, “Under Operation Muskaan, we have recovered 106 mobile phones from across the district and returned them to their original owners. This initiative has proven to be a relief for the public. Our team is continuously working based on technical support and information.”
The SP emphasized the need for awareness to reduce incidents of mobile theft and loss. He urged citizens to pay special attention to the security of their phones and to report any suspicious activities to the police immediately.
