After several rounds of discussions among the alliance partners, the formula was finalized and announced on Sunday. Interestingly, the NDA did not hold a joint press conference for the declaration. Instead, leaders from the constituent parties shared the seat distribution details on social media. JDU working president Sanjay Jha, RLM chief Upendra Kushwaha, Union Minister Chirag Paswan, and Bihar BJP president Dilip Jaiswal were among those who confirmed the arrangement through their posts.

With the seat-sharing now finalized, NDA allies are expected to release their respective candidate lists shortly. According to reports, the BJP has nearly finalized its candidates, and the Central Election Committee meeting in Delhi on Sunday evening is expected to give formal approval. The JDU, led by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, has also completed its internal candidate selection process. The LJP (Ram Vilas) has indicated that its list will be released soon after the NDA announcement.

Bihar NDA Seat-Sharing Formula:

  • BJP: 101 seats

  • JDU: 101 seats

  • LJP (Ram Vilas): 29 seats

  • Rashtriya Lok Morcha: 6 seats

  • Hindustani Awam Morcha: 6 seats

The announcement ends weeks of speculation over seat distribution within the NDA, setting the stage for the Bihar Assembly election campaign to gain momentum in the coming days.
