Tragic Accident in Agra Claims Lives of Five Devotees

Agra, March 20: A tragic road accident occurred in Agra, Uttar Pradesh, on Friday morning, resulting in the deaths of five devotees. Four others sustained serious injuries. Among the deceased are a woman and a three-year-old girl. The injured individuals have been admitted to Saifai Hospital in Etawah. The Agra police are currently investigating the incident.

According to reports, the accident took place near Pai on the Etawah road in the Chitrakoot area of Agra. A Bolero vehicle was returning from Etawah when it suddenly lost control and crashed into a tree by the roadside. The impact was so severe that the vehicle was extensively damaged.

Chaos erupted at the scene following the accident. Local residents gathered and promptly informed the police about the incident. A police team and ambulance arrived quickly. DCP East Abhishek Agarwal confirmed the death toll of five, while the injured were rescued and transported to the hospital. The police have taken possession of the deceased’s bodies.

It has been reported that the occupants of the Bolero were residents of Etawah, returning from a visit to Kela Devi in Rajasthan when the accident occurred. Eyewitnesses and locals reported hearing the crash and rushed to the scene to assist rescue workers in extracting the victims from the wreckage.

DCP East Abhishek Agarwal stated that the police received reports of the Bolero crashing into a tree late at night. The bodies have been sent for post-mortem examination. Initial investigations suggest that the driver may have fallen asleep, leading to the accident. Further details are being gathered.
