Patna, March 20: A tragic car accident in Nawada district of Bihar has resulted in the death of Akhilesh Kumar, the son of Janata Dal (United) legislator Vibha Devi. This information was confirmed by the police on Friday.
According to police reports, the accident occurred late Thursday night in the Muffasil police station area when Akhilesh’s car reportedly lost control and collided at high speed with a banyan tree. Akhilesh Kumar was also the younger son of former minister Rajballabh Prasad Yadav.
The station house officer of Muffasil police confirmed the incident, stating that the injured were initially taken to Patna for better treatment. Following the accident, Muffasil police have launched an investigation to determine the causes.
Reports indicate that Akhilesh Kumar had left his home in the English village of Patthar on Thursday evening when the accident took place. Local residents quickly arrived at the scene to assist in transporting him to the hospital.
After receiving initial treatment, family members took him to Medanta Hospital in Patna. Upon admission, doctors began treatment; however, he succumbed to his injuries around midnight. It is reported that Akhilesh leaves behind three sons.
The news of this tragic event has plunged his family into deep mourning, making it difficult for them to find solace. His elder brother, Eklavya, shared, “He had just left home in his car. Near the house, his vehicle crashed into a banyan tree. He sustained severe injuries. We admitted him to Medanta Hospital in Patna, but he could not be saved.”
A wave of grief has swept across Nawada following this incident. His mortal remains are being transported back to their ancestral village, where final rites will be performed. Legislator Vibha Devi and other family members are in profound shock over this untimely demise.
Although Akhilesh Kumar was not actively involved in politics, he was well-known for his friendly nature and active participation in social and community events.
