Bihar Government Restructures Ministries Under Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary

Patna, April 15: The new government in Bihar has been formed under Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary. The allocation of ministries among the ministers has now been completed. CM Samrat Chaudhary has retained several key departments, indicating a strong administrative approach.

The Chief Minister oversees a total of 29 departments, including General Administration, Home, Cabinet Secretariat, Vigilance, and Elections. Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Kumar Chaudhary has been assigned responsibility for 10 departments, including Water Resources, Parliamentary Affairs, Information and Public Relations, Building Construction, and Minority Welfare. Meanwhile, Deputy Chief Minister Bijendra Prasad Yadav will manage 8 departments, such as Energy, Planning and Development, Prohibition, and Registration.

According to the list released by the Cabinet Secretariat, CM Samrat Chaudhary’s portfolio includes General Administration, Home, Cabinet Secretariat, Vigilance, Elections, Revenue and Land Reforms, Mining and Geology, Urban Development and Housing, Health, Law, Industry, Road Construction, Agriculture, Minor Water Resources, Labor Resources and Migrant Worker Welfare, Youth, Employment and Skill Development, Tourism, Art and Culture, Dairy, Fisheries and Animal Resources, Disaster Management, Welfare of Backward Classes and Extremely Backward Classes, Welfare of Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes, Information Technology, Sports, Cooperation, Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Sugar Industry, Public Health Engineering, and Panchayati Raj.

Additionally, Deputy CM Vijay Kumar Chaudhary will oversee Water Resources, Parliamentary Affairs, Information and Public Relations, Building Construction, Minority Welfare, Education, Science and Technology Education, Rural Development, Transport, and Higher Education.

On the other hand, Deputy CM Bijendra Prasad Yadav will handle Energy, Planning and Development, Prohibition, Registration, Finance, Commercial Tax, Social Welfare, Food and Consumer Protection, and Rural Works.
