Chandigarh, June 29: The Bhakra Beas Management Board (BBMB) has announced the recruitment of 10 apprenticeship positions for various trades under the 220 kV substation in Kurukshetra for the year 2026-27. The board has released a notification on its official website regarding this recruitment.
Among the vacancies announced by BBMB, there is one position for an electrician and nine for line men. The online application process commenced on June 2, and the last date to apply is set for July 1. Interested and eligible candidates wishing to apply for these positions can complete their registration process on the official portal of the National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme (NAPS) before or by the deadline.
Candidates applying for these positions must have passed the 10th grade examination from a recognized board or institution with a minimum of 40 percent marks. Additionally, candidates should possess a National Trade Certificate issued by the National Council for Vocational Training or the State Council for Vocational Training in the relevant trade. Furthermore, candidates must have completed the corresponding ITI course.
Selection of eligible candidates will be made directly from the apprenticeship portal database (NAPS) based on a merit list prepared from the percentage of marks obtained in the 10th grade and the ITI course, along with document verification.
The minimum and maximum age of applicants will be in accordance with the Apprentices Act of 1961 and its amendments over time. However, the notification does not specify the age limit or stipend details for applicants.
