Golden Opportunity for Government Jobs: 716 Vacancies Announced

New Delhi, June 28: The Andaman and Nicobar Administration, Secretariat, under the Joint Higher Secondary Level Examination 2026, has invited applications from eligible candidates to fill a total of 716 Group-B (NG) and Group-C positions across various departments. The deadline for applications is set for July 5.

Among the 716 vacancies announced by the Andaman and Nicobar Administration, there are 15 Laboratory Assistants, 3 Stenographers, 440 Lower Division Clerks, 1 Mechanical Foreman, 36 Foresters, 36 Stenographers (OG), 3 Veterinary Compounders, 8 Patwaris, 4 Soil Conservation Field Assistants, 13 Agricultural Field Assistants, 2 Warehouse Keepers, 2 Fisheries Sub-Inspectors, 1 Plaster Room Technician, 1 Typist, 2 Sales Assistants, 28 Village Level Workers, 4 Village Helpers, 26 First-Class Masters, 11 Chief Engine Drivers (SG), 13 Second-Class Masters, 11 Marine Radio Operators, 7 Tally Clerks, 1 Store Keeper (Dockyard), 1 Sales Girl, 8 Depot Clerks, 3 Storekeepers, 1 Weaving Instructor, 3 Typist-Cum-Clerks, 7 IT Analysts, 23 Tally Clerks, 1 Field Assistant, and 1 Computer Assistant Grade ‘A’.

The online application process for these positions commenced on June 15 at 12 PM, and candidates can submit their registration forms until the final deadline of July 5. Interested and eligible candidates are encouraged to apply through the official portal of the Andaman and Nicobar Administration once the application link is activated.

Applicants must have completed the 12th grade from a recognized institution/board relevant to the position. Additionally, candidates must meet other specified eligibility criteria and skills as required for each post.

The minimum age for applicants is set at 18 years, with a maximum age limit ranging from 30 to 38 years depending on the position and group. This age calculation will be based on the application deadline. Candidates from reserved categories will receive age relaxation as per regulations.

Selection of qualified candidates will be based on academic qualifications, shortlisting, tablet-based tests (TBT), physical standard tests, endurance/skill/trade tests, document verification, and more. The salary for selected candidates will range from Level-2 to Level-6 of the 7th CPC pay scale, depending on the position.

While filling out the application form, candidates must pay the prescribed application fee online. The fee is set at ₹100 for male candidates from the General/OBC/EWS categories. Female candidates, Scheduled Tribes, and Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) are exempt from the registration fee.
