
The railway authorities have announced the resumption of the Bareilly-Bandikui-Bareilly daily passenger train service to accommodate increased passenger demand. The train will halt at nearly four dozen stations, providing convenience to travellers along the route.
According to Shashi Kiran, Chief Public Relations Officer of North Western Railway, train number 54356 will depart from Bareilly daily at 9:05 PM starting January 30 and reach Bandikui the following day at 9:50 AM. In the return direction, train number 54355 will leave Bandikui daily at 2:45 PM from January 31 and arrive in Bareilly at 6:20 AM the next day.
Stations on the Route
The train will stop at multiple stations including Ramganga Bridge, Basharatganj, Nishoi, Anwla, Revti Bahoda Kheda, Karengi, Dabatara, Asafpur, Sisarka, Chandausi, Bahjoi, Baburala, Rajghat Narora, Dibai, Ataroli Road, Harduaganj, Manjurgarhi, Aligarh, Daud Khan, Mandarak, Sasni, Hathras, Pora, Jalesar Road, Chamrola, Barhan, Mitawali, Etmadpur, Kuberpur, Chhalesar, Yamuna Bridge Agra, Agra Fort, Idgah, Bichpuri, Raybha, Achnera, Chiksana, Bharatpur, Helak, Nadbai, Khedli, Ghosrana, Mandawar Mahuwa Road, Karanpura, Bivai, and Srighasinagar. The train comprises 12 coaches including 10 general class and 2 guard vans.
Demand for the Train Service
Bandikui station sees significant pilgrim traffic to Mehandipur Balaji, along with many other passengers travelling on this route. Before the COVID-19 pandemic, the Bareilly-Bandikui train operated regularly but was suspended during the pandemic. Following public demand, the railway has now reinstated the daily train service to facilitate travel for commuters and devotees.
