
Ayodhya, June 14: The formation of a Special Investigation Team (SIT) by the Uttar Pradesh government regarding the donation funds for the Ram Temple in Ayodhya has been welcomed by the saint community and various religious leaders. Arya Saint Varun Das Maharaj stated that the ongoing reports and various pieces of information regarding the donations had created confusion within the Hindu community. Therefore, a swift resolution to this matter was essential.
He remarked that the government’s decision to form an SIT is a positive step. The Ram Temple is not just a religious site; it symbolizes Hindu tradition and culture. It is the center of faith for millions of Hindus worldwide, making an impartial investigation into any related issues crucial.
Mahant Dr. Deveshacharya Ji Maharaj of Siddh Peeth Hanumangarhi also congratulated the Uttar Pradesh government, stating that the formation of the SIT is commendable. He emphasized that the news propagated by certain anti-social elements must also be investigated to uncover the truth fully.
Meanwhile, Mahant Sitaram Das Ji Maharaj noted that the Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust had requested the SIT’s formation from Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and the government. The acceptance of this request and the establishment of the investigation team is praiseworthy. He insisted that the investigation process must be entirely transparent and fair, ensuring that no individual, especially followers of Sanatan Dharma, is harmed in their faith.
Former Babri Masjid litigant Iqbal Ansari also deemed the SIT’s formation a correct step. He mentioned that the matter related to Ayodhya and Lord Ram has become a topic of discussion not only in the country but globally. The questions raised regarding alleged irregularities in the donation funds will now be clarified through the investigation. He expressed confidence that the SIT’s inquiry would bring all facts to light.
Mahant Anirudh Dev Das Ji Maharaj of Janaki Raman Kunj stated that the government acted swiftly in forming the SIT. He praised this move, noting that allegations of scams surrounding such a sacred site had hurt the sentiments of the Hindu populace. With the SIT conducting the investigation, the truth will soon be revealed.
