Uttarakhand CM Promotes Ancient Sun Temple Through Social Media

Dehradun, June 14: Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has shared a video of the ancient Sun Temple located in Tehri district on social media.

In a post on the platform X, he wrote, “The ancient Sun Temple situated in Palehti village under the Tehri district’s Hindolakhal development block is a remarkable symbol of Uttarakhand’s rich cultural, spiritual, and historical heritage.”

He further stated, “Surrounded by natural beauty, this sacred site attracts devotees and tourists with its divine essence and extraordinary charm. Be sure to visit this holy temple when you arrive in Tehri Garhwal district.”

On June 13, CM Dhami had also shared a video of the Shani Temple located in Uttarkashi district. In that post, he mentioned, “The ancient Shani Temple in Kharasali village of Uttarkashi district is a wonderful confluence of religious faith and mythological heritage. This site is also famous as the winter abode of Mother Yamuna, where Shani Maharaj is enshrined in the form of a bronze idol. Make sure to visit this sacred temple when you come to Uttarkashi district.”

In another post on Saturday, the Chief Minister highlighted, “Uttarakhand is rapidly emerging as a leading destination for water sports and adventure sports in the country. We are developing the immense potential for water sports in Rishikesh and Tehri, while also identifying and promoting such opportunities in other regions of the state.”

He added, “I inspected the preparations for the international kayaking and canoeing competition to be held in Gadarpur, Udham Singh Nagar, and reviewed the arrangements. I also enjoyed some water sports. I have directed the relevant officials to ensure that all preparations related to the competition are completed on time and in accordance with the required standards.”
