Assam Rifles Launches Community Initiative to Inspire Youth in Manipur

Imphal, May 23: In a bid to promote peace, harmony, and a brighter future for the youth, the Assam Rifles has intensified its community outreach efforts across various regions of Manipur.

Officials reported that on Thursday and Friday, the Assam Rifles organized several awareness and motivational programs aimed at encouraging youth towards education, discipline, sports, and a positive lifestyle.

According to a defense spokesperson, these initiatives also aim to strengthen trust and cooperation between security forces and local communities.

On Thursday, the Assam Rifles held a special outreach program in Thanalon village, located about 130 kilometers from the Churachandpur district headquarters in a hilly area. Approximately 200 local residents, students, and young people participated enthusiastically in the event.

During the program, senior officials from the Assam Rifles met with village elders and community leaders to discuss issues related to regional development, education, and the future of youth. An inspiring session for students was also conducted, motivating them to work hard, maintain discipline, and contribute positively to society and the nation.

To promote sportsmanship, teamwork, and unity among the youth, exhibition football matches were organized between boys and girls. Local residents praised the Assam Rifles’ initiative, stating that such programs strengthen their sense of security and trust.

On Friday, the outreach continued with an interactive program for around 200 students at the Hill Academy in Fabem village, Churachandpur district. The event featured demonstrations of military equipment and weapons, which sparked significant enthusiasm and curiosity among the students, providing them a closer understanding of the operations of security forces.

Following this, students watched the motivational film ‘Ikkiis,’ aimed at instilling feelings of patriotism, courage, discipline, and dedication. To ensure the safe transportation of students, the Assam Rifles arranged special transport, further strengthening trust among local residents.

Additionally, a yoga session was organized for 75 students at the Assam Rifles Public School in New Keithelmanbi, as part of preparations for the 12th International Yoga Day. Trained yoga instructors provided students with insights into yoga postures, pranayama, and meditation.

The Assam Rifles emphasized that such efforts are designed to inspire youth while further enhancing peace, brotherhood, and mutual trust in Manipur.
