Mumbai, September 17 (Daily Kiran) : Actress Trupti Khamkar is gearing up for her return to the silver screen with Meghna Gulzar’s upcoming film, ‘Daira.’ The movie features prominent roles for Kareena Kapoor Khan and Prithviraj Sukumaran.
Khamkar and Kapoor are reuniting after their previous collaboration in ‘Crew.’ In an exclusive conversation, Khamkar reflected on the experience of sharing the screen with the renowned actress, known for her commanding presence.
Expressing her thoughts, Khamkar said, “I feel fortunate to have had the opportunity to work with the beautiful diva, Kareena Kapoor Khan. I witnessed a different side of her. She is truly one of the most beautiful people, with a kind heart and an incredibly hardworking spirit. I’ve seen her put in a lot of effort for this film.”
The actress shared that she never feels insecure when working alongside strong performers. “I believe that when a powerful actor stands beside you, it empowers you. They support you and help you shine. That’s the hallmark of a great actor. If someone makes you feel insecure, they might be insecure themselves,” Khamkar explained.
Khamkar expressed gratitude for having worked with actors who create a secure and supportive environment on set. “I’ve always considered myself lucky to work with such strong actors who are secure in their craft and bring you along with them. They have a generous nature. Kareena Kapoor is one of the most giving co-actors you can find,” she added.
Highlighting the importance of collaboration, she noted, “When two or more supportive actors come together on screen, the scene becomes extraordinary. This film is just like that. It features individuals with impressive screen presence and skills. They are beautiful and genuine actors who learn from each other, and that shows in the scenes. You can see how much more remarkable the scenes become.”
Describing the opportunity as a dream, Khamkar remarked, “Working with an actress like Kareena feels surreal. Every actor should have the chance to collaborate with Meghna Gulzar and, of course, the ‘Queen’ Kareena.”
Meghna Gulzar’s film ‘Daira’ is set to hit theaters on September 18.
