Jind, September 23 (Daily Kiran) : Archana Gupta, the Haryana BJP president, expressed her congratulations to Smriti Irani upon her appointment as the in-charge of Haryana. Gupta described Irani’s new role as a significant honor for the party. She also extended her best wishes to Dr. Bhola Singh, who has been appointed as the co-in-charge of Haryana, and emphasized her intention to work under their guidance.
In an interview with a news agency, Gupta highlighted Irani’s popularity and her strong connection with women across the nation. Irani has held various responsibilities, including serving as the national president of the women’s wing. Notably, she defeated Rahul Gandhi in the Lok Sabha elections from Amethi, marking her as a formidable leader outside the Gandhi family. Following that victory, she served two terms as a cabinet minister in the central government and has also worked as the national secretary. Now, she takes on the role of national general secretary while overseeing two states.
Gupta warmly welcomed Irani to Haryana, expressing her commitment to working effectively under her leadership. She also congratulated Dr. Bhola Singh, who has been elected as a Member of Parliament from Bulandshahr for the third consecutive time and is also a national secretary. Gupta pledged to strive for the party’s success in Haryana under the guidance of both leaders.
On Irani’s familiarity with Haryana’s culture, Gupta noted that Irani possesses knowledge not only of Haryana’s culture but also of India’s diverse traditions. Having previously served as the national president of the women’s wing and visited various states, Irani has a strong understanding of local customs. As a central cabinet minister, she has visited Haryana multiple times, ensuring no cultural barriers in her new role.
In a broader context, Gupta commended Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his leadership during ongoing tensions between the United States and Iran. She pointed out that despite the challenges, essential services in India, such as cooking gas for women, remained uninterrupted. Gupta lauded this achievement, stating that the women of India continue to bless the Prime Minister for his efforts.
