Apple CEO Tim Cook Reopens Apple Ginza Store in Tokyo, Calls Japan a “Gamer’s Paradise”

Tokyo, September 28 (Udaipur Kiran News)Apple CEO Tim Cook visited Tokyo to celebrate the reopening of Apple Ginza, the company’s first retail store outside the U.S., originally launched in 2003. After being temporarily relocated in 2022 for renovations, the store has now returned to its original location with a modern design and upgraded features.

The new Apple Ginza includes an Apple Pickup station, a Genius Bar, seating for Apple Vision Pro demos, areas for Today at Apple sessions, and special limited-edition gift cards. Visitors will also be able to download exclusive wallpapers for Apple devices to mark the reopening.

During his trip, Cook immersed himself in Japanese pop culture, meeting the boy band Number_i and greeting the beloved Pokémon mascot Pikachu. He also visited the Bandai Namco headquarters, where he played the new iOS-exclusive game Dragon Ball Gekishin Squadra. On social media, Cook praised Japan as a “gamer’s paradise,” underscoring Apple’s growing interest in gaming innovation and developer partnerships.
