Mumbai, April 7: Xiaomi has broadened its smart lighting range with the launch of the Mijia Ceiling Light Pro Ultra-Thin series. This new line emphasizes a sleek, low-profile design that seamlessly integrates into ceilings while providing impressive brightness and a more natural light quality. The series also prioritizes healthier lighting options, alongside its standard smart features.
The series includes three models, each tailored for different room sizes. The L100 (Large Square) is the premium option, designed for larger living spaces (approximately 25-45㎡). It boasts a remarkable output of up to 10,000 lumens at 150W, which is substantial for a ceiling fixture. Xiaomi claims an average illuminance of ≥300lx and a color rendering index of Ra98. The panel dimensions are 1050 × 650mm, with a thickness of just 29mm.
Next is the D60 (Large Round), which targets medium-sized areas such as smaller living rooms or larger bedrooms (15–25㎡). This model is rated at 75W and provides up to 5,200 lumens, with a diameter of 600mm and a thickness of 24mm.
Lastly, the D50 (Small Round) caters to compact spaces under 15㎡. It operates at 60W and delivers 4,200 lumens, measuring 500mm in diameter and also 24mm thick.
All three models utilize a custom full-spectrum LED configuration, allowing users to adjust the color temperature between 2700K and 5700K. They carry an RG0 rating, indicating minimal blue light hazard.
The ultra-thin design is a significant selling point, as it allows the lights to sit close to the ceiling, distributing light evenly without appearing bulky. On the smart technology front, Xiaomi incorporates its HyperOS connectivity system, enabling remote control, scheduling, and integration with other Xiaomi devices.
Pricing is competitive, especially with subsidies considered:
– D50: 849 yuan (approximately 721 yuan after subsidy)
– D60: 999 yuan (about 849 yuan after subsidy)
– L100: 1759 yuan (roughly 1495 yuan after subsidy)
The focus here is on creating a comfortable and soft lighting experience rather than merely maximizing brightness. The expansive light surface and high CRI are designed to enhance activities like reading or desk work, although actual performance will depend on room size and fixture placement.
The Mijia Ceiling Light Pro Ultra-Thin series is now available for purchase on Xiaomi Youpin and various e-commerce platforms in the company’s home market.
