Amaravati, March 8: During the Raisina Dialogue 2026, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu expressed his ambition to transform the state into a global center for advanced technology. He announced that Andhra Pradesh will take a leading role in quantum computing and artificial intelligence (AI), establishing Amaravati as a ‘Quantum Valley’ that could rival Silicon Valley in the future.
Naidu highlighted significant investments, noting that Google is set to invest $15 billion (approximately ₹1.25 lakh crore) in AI initiatives in Andhra Pradesh. This marks one of the largest investments in recent years following economic reforms in India. The project will establish a gigawatt-scale data center in Visakhapatnam, which will support AI services globally. Additionally, a new international submarine gateway will be created to connect India to the global digital network.
Emphasizing quantum technology, Naidu stated that work on Quantum Valley in Amaravati is progressing rapidly. The foundation for Quantum Valley was laid in February 2026, involving major organizations such as IBM, TCS, L&T, and IIT Madras. The state’s goal is to create a complete ecosystem for quantum computing in Amaravati, encompassing hardware, software, research, and skill development. The Chief Minister claimed that quantum computers will be manufactured and supplied to the world within the next two years, with several projects set to commence by the end of the year.
He remarked that while the world currently speaks of Silicon Valley in California, in the future, discussions will revolve around ‘Quantum Valley’ emerging from Amaravati, Andhra Pradesh. He described this initiative as a significant step towards technology-driven governance and innovation in the state.
This initiative is part of the National Quantum Mission, which aims to prepare thousands of youth through skill development programs. The Chief Minister believes this will provide new momentum for employment, exports, and economic growth. His statements at the Raisina Dialogue have sparked discussions in both political and tech circles, as Andhra Pradesh rapidly emerges on the global tech map.
