Mumbai, September 13 (Daily Kiran) : Central Home Minister Amit Shah lauded Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s defense strategies during the 52nd India Gems and Jewelry Awards held in Mumbai. He praised Modi for approving ‘Operation Sindoor,’ which involved a decisive response to terrorist attacks by crossing into Pakistani territory.
Speaking at the event, Shah remarked, “Who would have thought that a response to a terrorist attack would involve crossing the border? We have a Prime Minister capable of making such tough decisions.” He emphasized that whether it’s surgical strikes, airstrikes, or Operation Sindoor, Modi’s defense policy instills fear in adversaries, making them think twice before planning an attack on India.
Shah also highlighted significant national projects, including the construction of the Ram Janmabhoomi temple, the Kashi Vishwanath Corridor, the revitalization of Kedarnath, and the Mahakal Lok initiative. He noted that these achievements were once considered unthinkable.
Reflecting on the economic changes introduced by Modi over the past 12 years, Shah stated that India has now emerged as one of the world’s top five economies. He assured that Modi has instilled confidence in the nation’s 1.4 billion citizens, promising that by August 15, 2047, India will become the number one country globally in all sectors.
The Home Minister attributed the boost in India’s economy to infrastructure improvements initiated by Modi. He mentioned that the Production-Linked Incentive (PLI) schemes and export-boosting facilities have led to record-breaking export figures. The recent GDP growth rate of 7.8% positions India as one of the fastest-growing major economies.
Shah concluded by noting that these transformations extend beyond economics, as Modi has worked to bring change across various sectors. The ceremony was attended by several dignitaries, including Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde.
In his address, Shah expressed joy over the recognition given at the Gems and Jewelry Awards, which have significantly contributed to India’s economy and global identity. He emphasized that the India Diamond Board’s initiative reflects the nation’s confidence, skill, prosperity, and aspirations for global prominence, positioning India as a future hub for diamonds and jewelry.
