Amit Shah Flags Off Nationwide Bike Rally from Vadnagar to Varanasi on Modis Birthday

Vadnagar, September 17 (Daily Kiran) : Central Home Minister Amit Shah will kick off the ‘Service Sankalp’ bike rally from Vadnagar, Gujarat, on Thursday, marking Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday and his 25 years in public life. The event is part of a nationwide campaign organized by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

The rally will commence at 9:30 AM from Modi’s birthplace, Vadnagar, where Shah will also participate in various activities throughout the day. A parallel journey will begin simultaneously from Varanasi, featuring prominent figures such as Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu.

The BJP’s ‘Service Sankalp Campaign’ features two bike rallies starting on Thursday. Together, these rallies are expected to cover around 40,000 kilometers, traversing through 193 districts across 10 states and approximately 1,159 villages. About 1,000 youth will participate, with 500 riding from Vadnagar to Varanasi and the other 500 taking the reverse route. The rallies are set to conclude on October 7, coinciding with the completion of Modi’s 25 years in public service.

Amit Shah’s activities in Vadnagar will begin at 8:15 AM with a grand ritual at Sharmistha Lake, followed by a foot march and the inauguration of cleanliness initiatives at the Hatkeshwar Mahadev Temple.

Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, state BJP President Jagdish Vishwakarma, Deputy Chief Minister Harsh Sanghvi, and other party leaders are expected to attend the event.

The BJP’s Gujarat unit has indicated that the campaign will include tree planting, cleanliness drives, initiatives for a drug-free India, TB-free India campaigns, and water conservation awareness activities. The rallies will also involve interactions with beneficiaries of government schemes, youth, and women’s empowerment programs, along with honoring sanitation workers.

In preparation for the main event, four sub-rallies have already departed from various parts of Gujarat towards Vadnagar since September 13. These began in Somnath in Saurashtra, Shamlaji in North Gujarat, Pavagadh in Central Gujarat, and Unai Mataji in South Gujarat. Party leaders stated that water collected from rivers, lakes, wells, and other water sources along the routes will be transported to Vadnagar in a ‘Water Kalash Rath.’

Before the water is offered at the Hatkeshwar Mahadev Temple in Vadnagar, it will be mixed with water from Sharmistha Lake. The water will then continue to Varanasi, where additional water collected will be used for rituals at the Kashi Vishwanath Temple. This initiative will include water from the Narmada, Sabarmati, Mahi, Gomti, Vishwamitra, Tapi, Banasa, Shetrunji, Aji, and Pamba rivers.

Following the Vadnagar program, Amit Shah will visit Ahmedabad, where he will perform rituals at the Shri Jagannath Temple in the Jamalpur area at 5:15 PM. He will then attend the ‘Aashirwad No Diwo’ event at Kankaria Lake at 5:45 PM and participate in the Ganesh Festival organized by the Sardar Patel Seva Dal at Sardar Patel Chowk in Vastrapur at 7 PM.

The BJP’s nationwide campaign aligns with Modi’s birthday celebrations and other events held across states to commemorate his 25 years as a leader.
