New Delhi, February 25: Union Home Minister Amit Shah will begin a three-day visit to Bihar on Wednesday. During this trip, he will assess security measures, administrative preparations, and ongoing development initiatives in the state’s border districts. He will hold meetings with officials regarding areas adjacent to the India-Nepal border.

Shah is scheduled to arrive in Purnia at 4 PM on February 25 and will then depart by helicopter for Kishanganj. From 5 PM to 7 PM, he will chair a review meeting at the collectorate and will spend the night in Kishanganj.

On February 26, the Home Minister will visit Araria, where he will participate in an event at the Letty border post at 11 AM. Following this, he will convene a high-level review meeting at the collectorate with police superintendents and district officials from border areas to evaluate issues related to the India-Nepal border, focusing on security discussions.

Later that day, he will also attend an event organized under the Vibrant Villages program before returning to Purnia for the night.

On February 27, Shah will meet with officials once again in Purnia to discuss matters concerning the border districts. After concluding the final round of review meetings, he will depart for New Delhi.

Officials have completed logistical preparations, and extensive security arrangements have been made ahead of the visit.

This tour is expected to focus primarily on the Seemanchal region. Following the Home Ministry’s ‘Naxal-Free India’ initiative, it is being viewed as a key priority, especially with an emphasis on making Seemanchal free from infiltrators. Shah has visited Seemanchal multiple times in recent years.

During the last Bihar assembly elections, he alleged that efforts were underway to create a vote bank through illegal immigrants in the region, emphasizing that the NDA government would not tolerate such practices. He stated that every infiltrator would be identified and expelled from the country, and all illegal activities would be completely halted.
