Allegations of Attack on BJP Presidents Vehicle by Shaukat Molla: Dilip Ghosh Speaks Out

Kolkata, June 6: West Bengal Minister Dilip Ghosh has responded to various issues, including the resignation of TMC leader Firhad Hakim and the arrest of former TMC MLA Shaukat Molla in connection with the Bhangar blast case. Ghosh alleged that Molla orchestrated an attack on the vehicle of BJP National President JP Nadda.

Regarding Hakim’s resignation as Kolkata’s mayor, Ghosh stated, “There is a rush of resignations in TMC. Who will resign first? Previously, there was fierce competition for tickets and positions. What has changed now? It seems everyone is fleeing as the government loses power. Why did Firhad not raise these allegations earlier? What is the need for such drama? If the public voted for you, you should work for them.”

On the arrest of Shaukat Molla, Ghosh remarked, “Mamata Banerjee made Shaukat Molla a leader despite his antisocial behavior. His area is plagued by gunfire, and people cannot live in peace. During the panchayat elections, no one was allowed to file nominations. Shaukat, along with 2,000 people, attacked JP Nadda’s vehicle. It was a bulletproof car, which is why the BJP president narrowly escaped. People like Shaukat Molla should remain in jail.”

It is noteworthy that an attack on JP Nadda’s convoy occurred on December 10, 2020, while he was en route to Diamond Harbour in South 24 Parganas, where several vehicles of leaders were stoned.

Ghosh added, “Central ministers are continuously visiting West Bengal. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will also be here on June 20. We are working swiftly on the promises made to the people of West Bengal. In just one month, our new government has accomplished more than any government in history.”
