Akhilesh Yadavs Growing Popularity Worries BJP: Ravidas Mehrotra

Lucknow, March 25: Senior Samajwadi Party leader Ravidas Mehrotra has criticized the BJP, stating that the popularity of SP chief Akhilesh Yadav is on the rise, causing anxiety among BJP leaders.

This statement comes in response to MLA Pooja Pal’s claim regarding the film ‘Dhurandhar-2’, which she says reveals the truth about mafia gangster Atiq Ahmed and the Samajwadi Party.

In reaction to Pal’s comments, Mehrotra pointed out that she was elected as an MLA with the support of Samajwadi Party votes. He challenged her to resign from her position and contest elections if she has any moral standing before making further statements against the SP.

Mehrotra asserted that public support for Akhilesh Yadav is increasing, which is why the BJP and certain leaders are feeling threatened.

Pooja Pal, while discussing ‘Dhurandhar-2’, targeted the Samajwadi Party, claiming the film exposes the connections between the party and Atiq Ahmed. She accused Ahmed of being a destructive force, likening him to a termite that is hollowing out the nation from within.

Pal stated, “Atiq was not just my perpetrator. He destroyed my life by murdering my husband, Rajupal, and devastated thousands of families. Through his criminal activities and drug trade, he has harmed society.” She further alleged that under the protection of the Samajwadi Party, Atiq and his gang engaged in counterfeiting currency, jeopardizing national security.

Recently, Akhilesh Yadav commented on the film ‘Dhurandhar-2’, asserting that the BJP is attempting to defame political parties through cinema, claiming the film was created with a specific agenda in mind.
