Akhilesh Yadav Targets BJP in Ayodhya, Calls for Youth Engagement

Lucknow, October 10 (Daily Kiran) : Akhilesh Yadav, the national president of the Samajwadi Party, recently directed sharp criticism at the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) regarding its actions in Ayodhya. He stated that a single young “PDA sentinel” from the Samajwadi Party could be enough to defeat what he termed the “thieves of donations” in the region. Yadav accused the BJP of providing a clean slate to those he claims are corrupt, asserting that the party has forgotten the outcomes of the last Lok Sabha elections. He predicted that the public would humble the BJP’s arrogance this time around.

During his remarks, Yadav referenced the mothers of Ayodhya, suggesting they have witnessed the humiliation of a grieving mother. He questioned whether the BJP has realized, even through its internal surveys, that no one from their ranks is willing to contest elections in Ayodhya. He emphasized that sacred places should not be misused for political gain.

Speaking at a memorial event for his father, former Chief Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav, held in Saifai, Yadav highlighted his father’s dedication to socialist principles. He reiterated that the first step toward humanity is offering help and emphasized the need to eliminate not just discrimination but also the mindset that fosters it. He vowed that the struggle would continue until the oppressed and humiliated are uplifted.

Yadav explained that the PDA initiative—representing the backward, Dalit, and minority communities—is rooted in love, compassion, and inclusivity. He portrayed his father as a living example of these values and committed to advancing the unfinished developmental works initiated by him.

Additionally, Yadav accused the BJP of conspiring to steal votes while hiding behind the Election Commission. He stressed that the commission, as a constitutional body, must maintain its credibility by acting impartially. He questioned why the BJP rushes to defend itself when the commission’s integrity is called into question, suggesting this raises suspicions about their motives.

He claimed that the BJP aims to remove opposition supporters from the voter list. During the special intensive revision of the voter list in Uttar Pradesh, Samajwadi Party members allegedly uncovered instances of fraudulent applications being submitted to disenfranchise voters. Yadav stated that his party has lodged complaints backed by evidence, yet no action has been taken.

He specifically mentioned an incident in the Sarojininagar assembly constituency, where over 100 fraudulent applications were reportedly filled out under the name Dasrath, along with allegations of forged signatures from the party’s municipal president in Bidhuna. He pointed out that regulations prohibit an individual from submitting more than five applications.

Yadav also revealed that during a meeting with the President, leaders from various parties presented complaints about election irregularities, with the President requesting evidence of dishonesty and vote theft. He raised concerns about the misuse of administration and fraud in the Uttar Pradesh by-elections, asserting that the party’s struggle against alleged BJP misconduct would persist. He framed the upcoming 2027 assembly elections as a battle to protect democracy, the Constitution, and reservation rights, emphasizing the crucial roles of farmers, youth, students, and traders in this endeavor.
