Akhilesh Yadav Must Wait Until 2027 for BJP Government, Says Keshav Prasad Maurya

Lucknow, June 1: Uttar Pradesh‘s Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya has advised Samajwadi Party (SP) leader Akhilesh Yadav to wait until 2027. He asserted that the BJP government is assured to return in the upcoming elections.

Maurya responded sharply to Yadav’s recent statement, where the SP chief claimed that the electricity bill for June would leave people in darkness, suggesting that the BJP government would increase its commission.

In his rebuttal, Maurya stated that Yadav should continue making statements but should prepare for the BJP’s victory in the 2027 assembly elections, where the party will once again bloom in the state.

The political rhetoric between Akhilesh Yadav and the BJP has intensified, particularly concerning the increased electricity surcharges in Uttar Pradesh.

During this time, Maurya also highlighted a government program honoring meritorious students. He emphasized that the Uttar Pradesh government has always encouraged talented individuals and will continue this tradition.

He remarked that the state’s bright students and youth represent its future. The government is committed to supporting their education, skill development, and progress. A special event was organized to honor these meritorious students for this very purpose.

When asked about the cabinet expansion in West Bengal, Maurya commented that if there is a government, cabinet meetings and expansions are natural processes. He briefly stated that the cabinet meeting should take place first, after which the situation will become clearer.
