Tragic Collision on KMP Expressway Claims Three Lives in Haryana

Sonipat, September 3: A tragic accident on the Eastern Peripheral Expressway (KMP Expressway) in Sonipat district of Haryana resulted in the deaths of three laborers and left nine others injured. All injured individuals have been admitted to a hospital for treatment.

The incident occurred near Gopalpur village in the Kharkhoda police station area. The laborers, traveling in an Eco car, were from Pilibhit, Uttar Pradesh, and were en route to Jhajjar for millet harvesting.

The collision was so severe that the Eco car was completely wrecked. Local residents and passersby quickly assisted in rescuing the injured. One deceased was extricated from the vehicle after it was cut open.

Officials reported that five of the nine injured individuals are in critical condition and have been referred to PGI Rohtak, while the remaining four are receiving treatment at Kharkhoda Hospital. The Kharkhoda police have taken possession of the bodies and sent them for post-mortem in Sonipat.

Earlier, a similar incident on the KMP Expressway in Palwal involved a pickup truck colliding with a stationary truck, resulting in six fatalities and 14 injuries. The victims were returning from visiting the Khatu Shyam Temple and other religious sites in Rajasthan and were headed to Vrindavan. This collision occurred around 4:30 AM on Tuesday.

Among the deceased were three women, identified as Vijay (75), Rajkumar (40), Reshma (45), Kamla (65), Sudha (52), and Mahesh (60). All injured individuals were admitted to a hospital in Palwal.
