Lucknow, October 5 (Daily Kiran) : Akash Anand has expressed his gratitude following his reappointment as the National Coordinator of the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP). BSP leader Mayawati made the announcement on Monday, reigniting Anand’s responsibilities within the party. In response, Anand emphasized his commitment to justifying Mayawati’s trust through his work.
Addressing Mayawati, Anand stated, “Sister Kumari Mayawati, I humbly bow at your feet. You have forgiven me and entrusted me once again with the responsibility of National Coordinator. I am sincerely grateful for your trust, which I will never take lightly.”
Anand reflected on the lessons he has learned over time, noting that the Bahujan movement is far greater than any individual. He acknowledged the paths laid out by Dr. B.R. Ambedkar and BSP founder Kanshiram, expressing his honor in following the direction Mayawati has dedicated her life to.
He affirmed that under Mayawati’s guidance, the interests of the party and the Bahujan movement will remain his top priority. “I will set aside all personal interests and work tirelessly, with discipline and full dedication, to strengthen the organization,” he declared.
Anand recognized the significance of his new role, reiterating that it is now his responsibility to validate Mayawati’s faith in him through his actions. He concluded his message with the rallying cry, “Jai Bhim, Jai Bharat.”
Earlier, Mayawati had announced Anand’s reappointment, stating that the decision was made after careful consideration of the party’s and Bahujan movement’s interests. She expressed hope that with the recent retirement of Anand’s father-in-law, Ashok Siddharth, the party’s operations would run smoothly without the need for frequent changes.
Mayawati noted that she has observed a positive change in Anand’s personality and work style recently. She referenced his recent social media posts as a sign of his commitment to rejoining the party.
According to Mayawati, there was a consensus among party members to grant Anand another opportunity to serve in his previous capacity. She also mentioned that Anand’s father, Anand Kumar, and his younger brother, Ishaan Anand, supported this decision.
Mayawati highlighted Ishaan Anand’s contributions, stating that he has fulfilled responsibilities for the party with integrity, even without an official position. She connected her decision to maintain discipline within the party, emphasizing that the Bahujan community is her extended family, and their welfare is paramount.
She acknowledged that maintaining discipline has required her to make tough decisions recently, affecting even her own family members. Mayawati concluded by reiterating that the BSP draws inspiration from the sacrifices, struggles, and ideals of Dr. Ambedkar and Kanshiram, and is preparing vigorously for the upcoming Uttar Pradesh assembly elections.
