New Delhi, March 20: The All India Majlis-e-Ittehad-ul-Muslimeen (AIMIM) has inaugurated the ‘SIR Help Desk’ in Darussalam, ahead of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) process scheduled for April in Telangana. AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi officially launched a helpline service by searching for names in the 2002 voter list, aimed at assisting residents across the state.
On Friday morning, a demonstration of the SIR process was held at the AIMIM headquarters in Darussalam. Owaisi personally showcased the name search process from the 2002 voter list and officially launched the helpline service for the entire state.
AIMIM has also released three mobile numbers for inquiries, which can be reached from 10:30 AM to 4 PM at 9100043150, 9100043151, and 9100043152.
Preparations for the voter list’s Special Intensive Revision (SIR) in Telangana have already commenced. The Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) has urged political parties to appoint at least one Booth Level Agent (BLA) for each polling station. During a meeting with representatives of recognized political parties, CEO C. Sudarshan Reddy emphasized the importance of strong booth-level coordination for this task.
Given the limited time frame for the revision after the notification is issued, preparations have already begun in the state. As part of these preparations, a tabletop mapping has been conducted to link voters listed in the 2025 electoral roll with those covered during the 2002 SIR.
Field-level mapping is now underway, where booth-level officers are visiting homes, particularly in urban areas, for identification and verification.
The CEO stated that during the SIR, Booth Level Officers (BLOs) are expected to visit each polling area three to four times. During the first visit, counting forms will be distributed, while subsequent visits will cover households that were previously unavailable.
