Admission Process for Academic Session 2026-27 Starts on May 1

Bhopal, April 28: The admission process for all government and private colleges, as well as those offering NCTE courses in the state, will commence from May 1 and continue until June 30 for the academic session 2026-27.

To simplify and enhance transparency, the admission process will be conducted in three phases this year. This includes two centralized phases and one College Level Counseling (CLC) phase. Students can register from the comfort of their homes using the mobile app (e-Admission) and the online admission portal. Notably, students can start registering today through the e-Admission app, while the selection of options will begin on May 1.

To make admissions more accessible, the registration fee has been set at ₹100 for NCTE and traditional courses. As in the previous year, the portal fee will be completely waived. In the first phase, no fee will be charged for female students. From the second phase onwards, a registration fee of ₹150 will apply to all students.

Additionally, for students who are unable to register themselves, help centers have been established in all colleges across the state, providing free registration assistance. The department has also set up a 24×7 helpline, toll-free number, and help desk to support students.

The aim of the Higher Education Department is to ensure that every student in the state has access to easy, transparent, and quality higher education. In line with the National Education Policy 2020, a significant innovation has been introduced this year. Students wishing to enter other faculties will now have the opportunity for eligibility based on interviews. Walk-in interviews will be conducted at leading colleges in the district from April 27 to May 14, 2026. Admission will be granted based on major subjects, while students can choose minor and multidisciplinary subjects according to their interests.

For student admissions, the first allocation list will be released on May 20, 2026, the second allocation list on June 7, 2026, and the third allocation list on June 23, 2026.
