Mumbai, October 2 (Daily Kiran) : Aditya Dhar made a stylish appearance at the 72nd National Film Awards held in Mumbai, donning a sleek black designer suit crafted by Manish Malhotra. The filmmaker expressed his gratitude to Malhotra on social media, posting a picture on Instagram Stories. He wrote, “Heartfelt thanks to Manish Malhotra for preparing me for the National Awards. I am grateful for your generosity and artistry in making this special occasion even more memorable.”
In response, Manish Malhotra shared Dhar’s post on his own Instagram Stories, acknowledging the compliment.
Dhar’s film, “Article 370,” enjoyed significant success at the awards, winning three accolades, including the prestigious Best Actress award for Yami Gautam.
Yami Gautam, who starred in the film, complemented Dhar’s look with a matching black saree, creating a classy appearance for both. The awards ceremony took place in September 2026 at Ekta Nagar (Kevadia) in Gujarat, where President Droupadi Murmu presented the honors.
“Article 370,” directed by Suhas Jambhale, features a talented cast including Yami Gautam as intelligence officer Juni Haksar and Priyamani as Rajeshwari Swaminathan, a strategist in the PMO. The film explores the historical and political context surrounding the abrogation of Article 370, which revoked Jammu and Kashmir’s special status. It depicts the covert mission undertaken by Haksar and Swaminathan to remove terrorism and Article 370 from the valley without significant bloodshed, weaving in strategies following the 2016 Kashmir situation and events like the Pulwama attack.
