Mumbai, October 4 (Daily Kiran) : Gurmeet Choudhary, the well-known television and film actor, expressed his deep sorrow over the passing of his long-time fan, Monica, who had been battling cancer. The news of her death left Gurmeet visibly emotional, prompting him to share a heartfelt message on social media.
In his post, Gurmeet reminisced about Monica, stating, “I never thought I would have to write such an emotional note for Monica. I still can’t believe she is no longer with us.” He acknowledged that she had celebrated every milestone in his career, providing unwavering support and love throughout his journey.
Gurmeet fondly recalled their meetings in Durban, South Africa, saying, “Whenever I visited Durban, Monica was always by my side. Our bond grew so strong that she became like family to me.” He shared that Monica had confided in him about her cancer diagnosis, leading to numerous phone and video calls where he encouraged her to keep fighting. “I always told her she was a fighter and that everything would be okay,” he added.
He emphasized that while Monica often told him he inspired her, she was, in fact, a significant source of strength for him. “Her courage, warmth, and love meant more to me than words can express,” he reflected.
Gurmeet concluded his tribute by expressing how he would miss her voice and the joy on her face during their conversations. “My heart is heavy today. May God grant her soul peace, and I extend my condolences to her family. May God give them strength during this difficult time.”
