Yami Gautam Urges Against AI Manipulation of Images Without Consent

Mumbai, October 4 (Daily Kiran) : Actress Yami Gautam has issued a strong appeal to her fans regarding the use of artificial intelligence in altering her images and videos. Amidst increasing cases of fake and morphed content, she urged that her public appearance photos should not be manipulated in any way.

This message comes in the wake of a recently surfaced morphed video related to the song “Chuttamalle” from her upcoming film “Devra.” While Yami did not directly reference this video in her post, she made her stance clear on the broader issue of altering someone’s image or identity through AI.

On the social media platform X, she wrote, “Please avoid changing or enhancing my photos taken during public appearances using AI. Use the images in their original form. No one should alter or manipulate an individual’s image or identity without their knowledge and consent. Thank you in advance for respecting my request.”

Currently, Yami is also in the spotlight for her upcoming film “Nai Naveli,” where she plays the character Mohini. This family entertainer promises a blend of humor, emotion, fantasy, and action.

Discussing her role, Yami expressed, “What I found most special about Mohini is that she is not what she appears to be at first glance. Mohini embodies warmth and familiarity, but there is a mystery that gradually unfolds. Working with the director and the entire team has been a wonderful experience.”

“Nai Naveli,” produced by Aanand L. Rai and Himanshu Sharma, is set to hit theaters on October 16, 2026, just before the Dussehra festival.
