
Mumbai, September 7 (Daily Kiran) : A tragic incident occurred in Mumbai on Monday when an 80-year-old patient jumped from the fifth floor of Noor Hospital, leading to his death. The deceased has been identified as Najmuddin Yusuf Ali Kapadia.
According to the Paydhuni police station, the patient had been admitted to Noor Hospital due to a urinary infection. On September 3, his condition worsened, prompting a transfer to the hospital’s ICU. After a few days, he showed signs of improvement and was moved to a regular ward on the fifth floor.
At approximately 2:25 PM on Monday, the elderly man jumped from the building. Medical staff pronounced him dead upon examination after the fall. The Paydhuni police arrived at the scene shortly after and have registered a case under the Accidental Death Report (ADR) for further investigation.
In a separate incident on the same day, reports emerged from Jammu and Kashmir, where a boy and girl jumped into a canal in the Ganderbal district. Additionally, a man’s body was discovered hanging in an apple orchard in the Shopian district.
Authorities reported that a search operation was initiated after receiving news of the boy and girl jumping into the canal. The boy has been identified as Irshad Ahmed Kahi, son of Mohammad Sharif Kahi, while the girl’s identity remains undisclosed.
Local police and residents in the Kangan area of Ganderbal are actively involved in the search efforts, awaiting further information regarding the circumstances of these incidents.
