2nd India MedTech Expo 2025 to Showcase India’s Strength in Medical Technology, September 4–6 in New Delhi

New Delhi, 1 September 2025 (Kiran News): The Department of Pharmaceuticals, Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers, Government of India, along with the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Export Promotion Council for Medical Devices (EPCMD), and Central Drugs Standard Control Organisation (CDSCO), is set to organize the second edition of the India MedTech Expo 2025. The event will take place from 4–6 September 2025 at Bharat Mandapam, Pragati Maidan, New Delhi, as a key part of the Bharat Health 2025 initiative.

India MedTech Expo has quickly become a leading platform for highlighting the country’s achievements in the medical technology and devices sector. The 2025 edition will bring together policymakers, global industry leaders, innovators, investors, and healthcare professionals, underscoring India’s position as a hub for advanced yet affordable MedTech solutions.

This year’s expo, themed ‘India: Global MedTech Manufacturing Hub, Precision Engineering yet Affordable,’ will feature a wide-ranging exhibition with participation from MSMEs, start-ups, research institutions, innovation pavilions, state showcases, and government initiatives.

The three-day event will host thematic conferences, CEO roundtables, fireside chats, and state-focused sessions, with Union and State Ministers joining as key participants. Experience zones, B2B meetings, Reverse Buyer-Seller Meets, and open houses with regulators will further encourage collaboration across the med-tech value chain.

Union Minister for Health & Family Welfare and Chemicals and Fertilizers, Shri Jagat Prakash Nadda, and Union Minister of State for Commerce & Industry and Electronics & IT, Shri Jitin Prasada, will inaugurate the event. Key dignitaries such as Shri Amit Agrawal, Secretary, Department of Pharmaceuticals, Shri Nitin Kumar Yadav, Additional Secretary, Department of Commerce, Mr P Krishnamurthy, Chairman NPPA, Dr Rajeev Singh Raghuvanshi, Drug Controller General of India, and Shri R P Singh, Joint Secretary, Department of Pharmaceuticals, will also participate.

Prominent industry experts and government officials, including Shri Rakesh Kumar Singh, CEO, YEIDA Medical Device Park (UP), Shri Awadhesh Chaudhary, Senior Economic Advisor, Department of Pharmaceuticals, and Shri Pramod Meshram, Deputy Drugs Controller (India), CDSCO IVD Division, will be among the speakers.

According to Mr Praveen Kumar Mittal, Executive Director of EPCMD, “India’s medical devices sector has grown to nearly USD 15 billion and is projected to reach USD 30 billion by 2030. With over 800 MedTech start-ups, robust R&D capabilities, and a rapidly expanding manufacturing base, India is positioning itself as a global innovation and export hub. India MedTech Expo 2025 will showcase this progress and foster collaborations to improve healthcare both domestically and worldwide.”

More than 150 international buyers from over 30 countries are expected to attend, presenting opportunities for global partnerships and investments. The expo enjoys support from major industry bodies such as AIMED, ADMI, MTAI, AMTZ, AMCHAM, APACMED, ADVAMED, APMEI, ASSOCHAM, CII, FICCI, INVEST INDIA, PHDCCI, NATHEALTH, USIBC, and USISPF.

Visitors will experience diverse pavilions including the Future Pavilion, R&D Pavilion, Start-up Pavilion, State Pavilion, Regulators’ Pavilion, and Make in India Showcase. Over 350 exhibitors, including MSMEs, manufacturers, start-ups, regulatory agencies, and state governments, will participate.

The expo will feature conference sessions focused on knowledge sharing, innovation, and achieving Vision 2047 for India’s MedTech sector—aiming to make India a major contributor to global healthcare. The Indian medical devices market is currently valued at $15 billion and is projected to reach $30 billion by 2030, making it one of the fastest-growing segments of the healthcare sector. India is now the fourth-largest medical devices market in Asia and ranks among the top 20 globally. Government initiatives like the PLI Scheme and establishment of Medical Device Parks are further accelerating sector growth.
