188 Youths Receive Job Offers at Employment Fair in Patiala, Thank PM Modi

Patiala, May 23: The central government’s nationwide employment initiative culminated in the 19th employment fair at Patiala Locomotive Works (PLW). Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed newly appointed candidates across the country via a virtual platform.

During the event at PLW, a total of 188 candidates received appointment letters from Principal Chief Administrative Officer (PCAO) Sushil Kumar Srivastava. Among these, 126 candidates will serve in various trades at Patiala Locomotive Works.

While addressing the candidates, Sushil Kumar Srivastava congratulated the newly appointed youths and encouraged them to work with dedication, honesty, and loyalty for nation-building, the Indian Railways, and the country’s progress.

Candidates who secured jobs expressed their happiness, stating that the recruitment process was entirely fair and transparent. They noted that the examinations were conducted with integrity, ensuring that each candidate received the job they were entitled to. No bribes or recommendations were necessary to secure their positions.

The newly appointed candidates expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, highlighting that the government provided them with employment opportunities through a fair process, thereby strengthening youth confidence in the government recruitment system.

Ritika Dutta from Siliguri, West Bengal, shared with the media that she was selected for a position at Patiala Locomotive Works. She stated, “I applied for the job in 2024. I thank PM Modi and the central government for this opportunity.”

Shanti Chaturvedi from Uttar Pradesh mentioned, “I applied in 2024, and today I was selected for the position of Depot Material Superintendent.” She expressed her gratitude to PM Modi, emphasizing that the process was completely transparent, and selections were made based on merit.

Another candidate, Vijay Dubey from Uttar Pradesh, reported his selection as a Junior Engineer (Mechanical) in the production unit. He noted the fairness of the examination process, having applied for the position in 2024. Yogesh from Himachal Pradesh also shared his joy at being selected for the Junior Engineer (Mechanical) role.
