New Delhi, March 6 (Udaipur Kiran): Millions of farmers across India are waiting for the next installment under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana (PM-Kisan). The 22nd installment of the scheme is expected to be released soon, with eligible farmers likely to receive ₹2,000 directly in their bank accounts.

According to recent reports, the government may transfer the next installment during the second week of March. However, an official announcement regarding the exact release date has not yet been made.

Under the scheme, eligible farmers receive financial assistance of ₹6,000 annually in three installments of ₹2,000 each. The payment is transferred directly to beneficiaries’ bank accounts through the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) system.

Installment Usually Released Between February and March

Looking at previous patterns, the installment covering the December–March period is generally released between February and March. This year as well, farmers are expected to receive the ₹2,000 amount soon if their details and eligibility records are complete.

However, authorities are currently verifying beneficiary data to ensure that only eligible farmers receive the benefits. This verification process may also cause delays in some cases.

Reasons Why Some Farmers May Face Delay

Some farmers may not receive the installment on time due to incomplete or incorrect details. The main reasons include:

  • Pending e-KYC verification

  • Aadhaar not linked with the bank account

  • Land record verification still pending

  • Changes in the beneficiary list during verification

Farmers whose details are incomplete may see their payments temporarily withheld until corrections are made.

How to Check PM-Kisan Beneficiary Status Online

Farmers can easily check their installment status from home by following these steps:

  1. Visit the official PM-Kisan website: pmkisan.gov.in

  2. Go to the Farmers Corner section on the homepage

  3. Click on Know Your Status or Beneficiary Status

  4. Enter your registration number or mobile number

  5. Verify using the OTP received on your phone

  6. Your installment details will appear on the screen

Farmers should ensure that e-KYC, Aadhaar Bank Seeding, and Land Seeding all show “Yes”. If any of these show “No”, they should update the details immediately.

What to Do If Payment Is Not Received

If the installment does not arrive in your account, experts advise checking your status first to verify eligibility and document status. Farmers can also take the following steps:

  • Complete e-KYC verification

  • Link Aadhaar with bank account

  • Visit the nearest Common Service Centre (CSC)

  • Contact the official PM-Kisan helpline for assistance

In many cases, payment delays occur due to incorrect bank details or Aadhaar mismatches. Updating these details can help ensure timely transfer of funds.
